SurveyMonkey lets you create, customize, and distribute surveys in minutes using its AI-powered builder and flexible collector options. Once responses are collected, the built-in Analyze Results tab provides instant charts, summaries, and individual response views.
Steps
- Log in and click Create Survey in the top right corner of the dashboard.
- Choose a survey creation option from the available starting points.
- Select a prompt from the provided choices to guide your survey structure.
- Click the airplane icon to send your prompt and proceed to generation.
- Your survey is automatically generated — click Continue to begin editing.
- Give your survey a clear, descriptive title so respondents understand its purpose.
- Navigate to the Build tab in the survey builder to add and edit questions.
- Click the Options tab to customize survey settings such as behavior and display.
- Click Preview to review how your survey looks and functions before publishing.
- Click Next to move to the collect responses setup stage.
- Choose a collector method to determine how you will gather responses.
- Generate a survey link and share it via email, social media, or website embed.
- Once responses arrive, open the Analyze Results tab to view charts, summaries, and individual responses.
- Your survey is now live and actively collecting responses.
