Use this interactive demo to learn how to sync Asana projects directly into a Coda document.

Quick summary

You can import Asana projects into Coda by connecting the Asana Pack through Coda's Insert menu, linking your account, and choosing what tasks to sync. This integration lets teams manage Asana work directly inside a Coda doc without switching tools.

Steps

  1. Open your Coda document and click the Insert button in the top toolbar.
  2. Navigate to Packs in the Insert panel.
  3. Select Asana to integrate task management with your Coda doc.
  4. Choose the task creation option to manage Asana work directly from Coda.
  5. Click Connect an account to link your Asana account and enable seamless task creation.
  6. Select your account from the list to establish the connection.
  7. Verify the connected account to confirm it is set up correctly for task assignment.
  8. Click Choose what to sync to select which Asana projects and tasks appear in your Coda document.

📌 Why this matters

Importing Asana projects into Coda eliminates the need to switch between tools by bringing your task management data directly into your collaborative docs. Teams that rely on Asana for project tracking can now view, create, and manage tasks inside Coda, keeping work and documentation in one place. This Asana–Coda integration is especially valuable for teams that want to build automated workflows, live dashboards, or project reports without manual data entry. Connecting the two platforms takes only minutes using Coda's built-in Packs, making it one of the fastest ways to unify project management and documentation.
