Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect your Canva designs directly to Instagram.

Quick summary

The Canva Instagram integration lets you link your Canva account to Instagram so you can publish designs — including reels and posts — directly from the Canva editor. You connect the two platforms in minutes by finding the Instagram app inside Canva's Apps panel and granting the required account permissions.

Steps

  1. Log in to Canva and navigate to the Apps section on the left side of the window.
  2. Search for "Instagram" in the Apps panel and click on it.
  3. Choose whether to use an existing design or create a new design for the integration.
  4. Click on the specific project you want to integrate with Instagram.
  5. Select "Connect" to begin linking Canva with your Instagram account.
  6. Log in to Instagram and click "Allow" to grant Canva access to your account.
  7. Click "Allow" a second time to confirm Canva's access to your reels and posts.
  8. The Canva and Instagram integration is now complete, enabling you to create and share content between both platforms.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Canva with Instagram removes the friction between design and publishing, letting creators and marketers share polished visuals directly to Instagram without leaving Canva. This Canva Instagram integration saves time by eliminating the need to export, download, and manually upload files. It gives teams a streamlined content workflow where designs — including reels and feed posts — can be authorized and published in just a few clicks. For social media managers and content creators, this direct connection means faster turnaround and more consistent, on-brand Instagram content.
