  1. To integrate Cline with VS Code, go to the Cline website and sign in[a].
  2. In the dashboard, click 'VS Code' [b]under the Install section.
  3. Click ‘Open VS Code’ to launch the application.
  4. You’ll be redirected to the Extensions panel; click 'Install' on Cline.
  5. Once installed, navigate to the left-side panel and click the 'Cline' icon.
  6. Select an option to get started, either with a free account or by using your own API key.
  7. If you don’t have an account yet, click ‘Create Account’ and follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.
  8. If your account is visible on the Cline panel in VS Code, that means Cline has been successfully integrated.
  9. To verify if the integration is successful, create a prompt. Cline should be able to respond to your queries or commands without any errors.
  10. For this demo, Cline responds swiftly by creating a JavaScript file. You can see the output as a new file, and the task marked completed in the Cline panel.
