How to Integrate FreshBooks with Expensify

Use this interactive demo to learn how to integrate your FreshBooks account with Expensify for seamless expense management.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to connect Expensify to FreshBooks using Zapier to automate your B2B expense management.

‍

  1. Log in to your Zapier account and click the Create Zap button in the upper left corner.
  2. Click Trigger and search for expensify.
  3. Select Expensify as your trigger.
  4. Select which event and account before continuing.
  5. Connect your specific expensify report.
  6. Click Continue after selecting the value of Report State.
  7. Click Test Trigger to pull in a recent report and select a record to use for mapping.
  8. Click Continue to proceed building your action step.
  9. select FreshBooks as the action app.
  10. Click the Action Event dropdown and select Create Expense.
  11. Connect your FreshBooks account.
  12. Finalize your FreshBooks connection settings and click Continue.
  13. Click Continue after mapping your data.
  14. Click Test Step to ensure the Expensify data appears as a new expense in your FreshBooks "Expenses" tab.
  15. In the lower right corner, click the Publish button to activate the sync.
